The Occupy movement has captured the imagination of the 99% – and the attention of the 1%. However, part of the challenge in bringing the message to people is whether corporate-controlled media can provide the kind of journalism necessary to report on a movement that intentionally avoids “leaders” and “experts” and six-second soundbites.

This blog is dedicated to exploring how the mainstream and alternative media are covering the phenomenon. It is also designed to explore whether Occupy has implications for how journalism could and should change, to better serve the 99%.
